Geomag Glow 60 Pieces Set Review

7 December 2022 by Eileen

It’s winter, which means the daylight is getting short. Why not get this Geomag Glow set to light up your life? They are not only a great decoration and conversation starter for your Christmas party but also an important opportunity to gain a better grasp on the world of physics and magnetics.

Geomag Glow 60 Pieces Set Review

This set comes with 60 pieces and is made up of 28 glow-in-the-dark natural magnetic rods, 28 steel spheres and elements of four differently shaped parts. It also comes with three small storage boxes to keep the rods and steel spheres. It is suitable for ages three and above. They also have the basic Geomag Glow 25 set, which is available from toysrus.co.uk, and the slightly more complex Geomag Glow 42 pieces sets from The Entertainer to collect. If your child likes to craft more complex items, then the Geomag Glow 60 is more appropriate and is available from Coolshop.co.uk. Each set can be joined together with other Glows or even other Geomag sets.

These magnetic rods are made from 100% recycled materials with 100% natural glowing substances. They are powered by capturing the natural light of the sun throughout the day, like a solar panel, and then using that to light up in the dark. Since the rods are solar-powered, it is best to leave them out in a well-lit spot during the day, so that they will light up for longer.

We are no strangers to the Geomag range of toys and love playing with them. They are not just a toy, they also serve as a great introduction to the STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Since the Geomag Glow sets use natural power, they can also be used by parents or educators to teach children about their environment, green sources of power and all these other subjects that have become so pressing in our modern world.

All the pieces are finished to a high standard and there are no sharp edges. Best of all, 100% of the materials are made from recycled plastic. It is Swiss made and all products are aligned with the most stringent European and international safety standards. It comes with easy-to-follow illustrations to help you to build 5 different models, building fantasy shapes and many more to start with. Of course, you can design your very own items. The sky is not limited. Your imagination is.

Once built, the models don’t take up too much table space. Once you have finished playing with it, it is easy to dismantle and pack away in the storage box and the plastic zip-lock bag for safekeeping.
