National Pet Bird Day falls on the 17th of September each year, where we celebrate the joy and benefits of bird ownership. This day was founded by the Bird Enjoyment & Advantage Koalition (BEAK). We were thrilled to receive this cute flamingo from Living Nature to celebrate this day.

This two-legged, bright pink flamingo comes in a cosy carry case made from cardboard and it is lined with snuggly straw. I love how you can rip open the cage to release your cute soft toy from the carry case. Inside the carry case, you will find a lovely bird owner’s guide packed full of information and an ownership certificate.
This is a wonderful small-size cuddly flamingo, which is perfect for little hands to play and cuddle or for any display. It is very well made with premium materials. The stitching and details on this flamingo are brilliant and it is very nicely finished overall. There is not a loose thread in sight, no lumpiness to the filling and no hard edges at all. This soft toy is made to a really high standard. They are suitable from birth.
It has a fluffy body, long pink legs, an S-shaped neck and beautiful eyes, which makes this a fabulous gift for anyone who loves these flamboyant birds! Ms C loves it a lot and so does our buddy dog Mabel. She almost took it away thinking it was for her!
Did you know that flamingos can be found in warm, watery areas like lakes? They love being near mudflats, which is an area where a lake ends. They build their nests, breed and have their dinner in the muddy area!
