You have just got to love summer! The weather is warm and conducive for meeting up with friends, a party maybe? Some good food, great music and enjoyable company, everyone having a good time. Throwing a party is a great way to take the edge off.
But before you call up your friends to come over, take a moment to think of the “after-party” consequences. The cleaning up, damage to the furniture, you know how it goes. This thought should not be a party spoiler; however, there are ways around this. Here are a few ideas on protecting your furniture from the damage that, more often than not, takes place and lets you enjoy your party.
1. Hiring of Furniture
Another option would be to hire party furniture instead of using your own. Hiring means that you protect your furniture from any damage during the party and save on the cost of repairs. You call up the supplier and have professional movers to deliver to your home. The supplier will remove it once the party is over.
While they are at it, let the professional movers remove your valuables out of the way. Imagine if someone threw a bottle at that large screen TV it got damaged, or someone breaking or even stealing the vase you paid top dollar to grace your living room. Just remove it, pack it up, label it and keep it someplace safe.
2. Creating Space
When expecting many visitors into your house, you will need to create space for mingling and maybe some dancing. You can do this by moving out your sofa and replacing the seating options with your dining chairs arranged around the room. You may shift your sofa into another room if there is extra space or just put it into storage.
3. Use Sliders
When moving heavy furniture such as sofas and tables, protect your floor by putting furniture sliders under their legs.
These are just a few ideas you may use to ensure that your furniture stays safe during a party.
Think about it, what’s the point of throwing a party if you spend most of the time worrying about your furniture?
Enjoy your summer party!
