Are you looking for a way to keep your food as fresh as the day you bought it? Are you bulk buying and batch cooking? Then it is time to invest in a vacuum sealer to extend the shelf-life of your foods even longer!
Since school started, I have been doing bento lunches for my children as they prefer to have a packed lunch to avoid having to queue for food. Anyway, I am pleased to have received this Audew vacuum sealer for review just in time for all my batch cooking!
Inside the box, in addition to the Audew vacuum sealer, there are five small vacuum bags, five large vacuum bags, one suction hose, one spare sealing sponge and instructions.
One of the best features of this sealer is the design! It looks really stylish and is a great addition to your kitchen gadgets. The surface of the sealer is made of stainless steel wire drawing panel, which is durable and not easy to scratch. At the same time, it can effectively prevent oil stains and facilitate cleaning.
The sealer uses digital touch buttons instead of physical buttons which makes the operation more convenient. The blue light indicates the functions on the button that are in use. One thing to note about this sealer is that there is no on/off button, hence the moment you plug it in, it turns on. So it is best to turn it off from the mains when not in use.
At the bottom of the sealer, there are four rubbery feet and a small gap to store any excess cable.
In my video, you can see my unboxing and I also show you all the functions plus review. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/3HaLb1sEJms
On this sealer, it comes with two modes for the suction: standard and gentle. For the food setting, you can select either dry product or wet product. I find these functions very interesting as it allows you to judge what sort of food require which sort of suction.
For example, if you want to store biscuits but afraid that vacuum will crush the biscuits, you can select dry and gentle. In my video, it sealed the wafer biscuits perfectly and when I opened it up, the wafer biscuits held their original shape! I am well impressed!
I also used it to store grapes and they looked excellent! Great seal and the grapes still look intact. As this only comes with ten vacuum bags, it will be best to buy some spare vacuum bags ready. It also allow you to seal only without suction.
This sealer also allows you to use it with vacuum jars, which currently was not included in this and also not sold on Amazon. Anyway, it allows you to suck out the air from the jars. I don’t own any other brand vacuum jars so was unable to test it out.
I really enjoyed this sealer and I love that you can select the different modes to suit as not all food comes in one standard shape and size. You can now store easily perishable food like fruits! The only downside is you have to push the lids down with quite a bit of strength in order for the machine to work properly! Overall this is an affordable and stylish vacuum sealer. A 2-year warranty return service is included. Now Audew is offering my readers 20% off by using this code ETSPEAKS be hurry as the code expires 21st Sept 2020.
