Race with Ryan Game Review

2 November 2019 by Eileen

As one of the top kid content creators on YouTube, Ryans Toy Review channel has received over 41 billion views to date and amassed over 31 million subscribers. Now the first-ever console game based on this YouTube superstar is out worldwide to buy or download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. We are delighted to be able to review this fun racing game on the Nintendo Switch this half term!

race with ryan review game

This game is aimed at children aged three to six years old. It is a multiplayer kart racer game where children and families can race to victory across multiple, magical worlds, featuring Ryan and his friends including Moe, Gus, Alpha Lexa and more. The game also features a four-player-split-screen to race with friends in multiplayer mode.

As I mentioned above, this game can be played with four players or you can play single player/career mode to unlock more than 20 Ryan’s World toy characters and vehicles including Moe, Gus, Alpha Lexa, Peck and Ryan himself.

There are six magical worlds to unlock: Treasure Island, Ryan’s Playroom, Toy Shop, Fantasy Park, Wild West and Spooky Land. Each world has mini races to unlock and is full of secret pathways, slippery slides and kids’ imagination!

In the race, you will also come across Ryan’s famous Mystery Eggs that are scattered across each track, and they are full of surprises that help you power through the pack – like Burger Shields, Sticky Slime, Trick Surprise Eggs and many more.

Race with Ryan is very similar to many other racing games where you race against each other and unlock worlds. I like this game as sometimes Ryan pops out at the corner of the screen to cheer or laugh at you. The game is fairly easy to play as you can select auto-acceleration and auto-steering. The graphics are very cute and colourful. If your child is a big fan of Ryan already, they will love this simple and cute racing game. It is also a great party game to play with friends and family this Christmas season.

Race With Ryan is available and exclusively at Smyth’s Toy Store in the UK for £29.99 or you can digitally download:

  • Xbox Live
  • Nintendo eShop
  • Steam
  • PS4
