GBBO 2019 might be over, but it is not over in this household! After a year out from not having my own kitchen to bake, we have finally settled in our new home and I am ready to bake again! Thanks to Plastic Box Shop who gifted us a few of their bake range products.
We are no strangers to PlasticBoxShop as we have bought a massive amount of Wham plastic storage boxes from them two years ago. We used the plastic boxes to store all our items that we put in storage while we were renting. They were really useful to keep all my items in good and clean condition. Even now, I still haven’t unpacked all the items out of the plastic boxes!
Plastic Box Shop sells a whole range of innovative storage, from plastic boxes to plastic flower pots to their baking range. There are so many products to choose from.
My daughter enjoys baking with me hence I chose a few varieties of baking products to give us a hand: 5 layer rainbow cake set, 3 piece springform set, 8” PushPan tin, 12 cup PushPan tray and 39cm Tray & Chevrons.
First, let’s take a look at this Wham Cook 18cm 5 layer rainbow cake set. Inside this box, it comes with five cake tins and each measure approximately 18cm (7 inches). One tip I learnt is to always weigh your tin and batter so that each tin will contain roughly the same amount of batter to get an even thickness of layers.
Next, we have the Wham Cook Teflon 3 piece springform set which contains a 20cm, 22cm and 24cm springform non-stick tins. To release the cakes, simply open the clasp on the side of the tin. I love using them to bake cheesecakes!
The 8” PushPan Non-Stick deep round tin has a patented silicone seal base. I love the silicone base as it makes it easy to pop the cake off and it’s watertight. I do find drying them around the groove area not so easy hence once I washed it, I left them in the oven to dry using the leftover heat.
We used the tin to bake the hedgehog cake and it bakes the cake perfectly. I didn’t even need to grease the bottom or the sides. The cake just simply slides out. Ms C loves decorated her cake and she is very proud of it.
Next, we have the 12 cup PushPan tray which we used to bake chocolate muffins. This tray is suitable for making individual small cheesecakes or cupcakes without using casings as you can easily push them out. I did use coloured paper casings to wrap the muffins instead of placing the batter into the tray as I wanted to present them. Anyway, the tray is easy to handwash except for the groove around each ring. It is not suitable for use in a dishwasher.
Last but not least, we have the lightweight double-coated non-stick 39cm Tray & Chevrons. It is great for roasting and will be so useful this Christmas. I love the chevrons design as it allows air to flow underneath to cook the foods evenly.
If you are looking to buy affordable and great value bakeware, do check out the extensive range from Plastic Box Shop. You will be very impressed!
