PuroQuiet Noise Cancelling Headphones Review

7 September 2019 by Eileen 1 Comment

I am sure every parent wants to buy things that are safe for their children to use. The same goes for us. So I was delighted to learn that PuroQuiet headphones help protect children from hearing loss. They were developed by a father who realised his 10-year-old daughter had sustained Noise-Induced Hearing Loss from listening to music too loud, for too long. He found that there was no one addressing this issue adequately, so his family set about designing and developing the highest-quality, studio-grade, volume limiting to 85 decibels children’s headphone whilst still at an affordable price. Best of all, it can be used wirelessly via Bluetooth.

PuroQuiet Headphone Review

Inside this well-packaged box, it comes with wireless headphones, USB charging cable, jack to limiter cable and a hard travel case. I love that this comes in a well-protected case that makes it easy to transport. One thing that I dislike about this is that it does not come with a charging head, so I have to use it with my smartphone’s charging head to charge.

These lightweight headphones are made from high-quality aluminium and with plush noise-isolating ear-pads. The whole headphone feels really well constructed, with good padding and has no sharp edges. The headphones are well illustrated with the switches and the labels. My 11-year-old son had no trouble understanding any of the features and was able to pair it up with his smartphone quickly. I also did a test with my iPad and was able to connect instantly. As these headphones can be connected via Bluetooth or cable, there is a Bluetooth button found on the headphones for you to turn it on/off. If you turn off the power to the headphones whilst using the Bluetooth feature, do remember to turn off the Bluetooth feature to save power.

The headphones also come with a highly sensitive microphone for taking calls or gaming with friends if the limiter cable is used and up to 16-hours of active battery life. So far, we have only needed to charge the batteries for a couple of hours every few days.

It also has an active noise cancellation feature that suppresses ambient noise levels and provides listening experience in even the loudest of environments. It blocks out daily noise and background sounds up to 22 dB, complemented by 82% noise isolation. If your child doesn’t answer you, you will know why!

Overall the sound quality is good and being wireless is great if you’re like me and constantly move around the house. Mr K loves the freedom of it being cableless and was able to do things easily! The vocals are clear. When I turn up the volume, the sound doesn’t distort nor is it too loud. It provides a tight, secure fit and they are comfortable to wear for long periods. These headphones are available to buy from Amazon for £89.99.
