The Kid Who Would Be King is a 2019 fantasy adventure movie, written and directed by Joe Cornish and distributed by 20th Century Fox. To celebrate the theatrical release of this movie, we were gifted a backpack, hoodie and a handmade Excalibur sword piñata which was filled with lots of chocolates! We were all super-excited!
The plot follows a twelve-year-old boy Alex (Louis Ashbourne Serkis) who stumbles upon the mythical King Arthur’s legendary sword Excalibur. Now he must unite his friends and enemies into a band of knights and, together with the legendary wizard Merlin (Sir Patrick Stewart), take on the wicked enchantress Morgana (Rebecca Ferguson) to prevent her from destroying the world. With the future at stake, Alex must become the great leader he never dreamed he could be.
This handmade Excalibur sword piñata is definitely super cool and it was such a shame to destroy it. But since it was filled with chocolates, we didn’t hesitate! It was filled with many chocolate coins that made my children’s day! Thanks to 20th Century Fox, we also received a cool backpack and a hoodie top.
If you like to watch fantasy adventure movies or are looking to do something with your children this half term, then why not pop to your nearest cinema to watch it!
Disclosure: We received the goodies for the purposes of writing this post, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
