Eufy RoboVac 11 Review

11 September 2018 by Eileen

Do you love coming home at the end of a hard day’s work to freshly vacuumed carpet/floor? Thanks to this stylish and affordable eufy RoboVac 11, it has made my ultimate dreams come true!

eufy is not new to the robot vacuum cleaner market. In fact, they launched their model in 2016. During these two years, this great looking and affordable robot vacuum cleaner has received plenty of great reviews and we are delighted to be reviewing it! I always wanted a robot vacuum cleaner after I saw my sister had one and love the idea of having the robot vacuum cleaner clean around the house when you are busy doing other things!

Inside this kit, it comes with RoboVac 11, charging base, remote control, power adapter, cleaning tool, four side brushes, spare HEPA-style filter, spare foam filter and instructions. The remote control requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included in the kit.

In my video, I will be showing you the individual items, how to remove the dust collector & filter and explain how it works. Check it out here! https://youtu.be/wT3FlMOAbC0

RoboVac 11 feels well-made and robust even though it’s compact and lightweight. The top of the RoboVac has a smooth surface and I love the dark metallic silver colour which makes it look very stylish. It is by miles, the best looking gadget we have at home!

At the back of the RoboVac 11 is the dust collector container which is easily removed by pushing down on the release button. The filter and foam filter is on the top of the dust collector which are easy to remove. One thing to note is that you cannot wash the HEPA-style filter with water. If you think the HEPA-style filter is torn etc., there is a spare one in the kit to change or you can always buy any replacements via eufy’s website.

There is an on/off switch on the side, along with the charging socket. Remember to turn the button on if you want to use it! Also, you will only need to charge the RoboVac through the charging socket if the charging base fails to charge. Normally, I would just place the power adaptor on the charging base itself.

Flip RoboVac over and snap the side brushes on it. It does come with two spare side brushes if any fail. They are easy to snap in and out for cleaning. The rolling brush can be found on the base. Remove the brush guard, pop out the rolling brush and use the cleaning tool to remove any hairs or dust that gets trapped in it. In my video, you will be able to see how easy it is to remove and install it.

It is important how you place the charging base. You have to give enough room and space for the RoboVac to move around to find the base. Place it on a hard, level surface and against a wall that is not too far from the power socket. You have to leave the charger on throughout. It takes 3-4 hours to charge up and RoboVac will last for 1 hour 20 minutes.

There are six cleaning modes which are operated through the remote control only. The modes are: auto, spot, edge, max, single room and manual. For the auto cleaning, the RoboVac will calculate the room size and optimize its path until cleaning is complete. The spot cleaning is where you move the RoboVac to a specific area and it will clean in a spiral pattern to clean the spot. Edge cleaning is for cleaning all edges around the house. The max cleaning is useful if you have carpet in the house. As you know, carpet traps a lot of dust and it needs a strong suction to clean the area. To get the maximum power, turn on the max button on the remote control. The single room will only clean one room and stops when cleaning is complete but do make sure you have the door closed to prevent it from wandering out. The last feature is the manual cleaning where you direct the RoboVac to clean a particular area. Both my children love using this mode as they think it’s like a remote control car! Also, they both had ideas of using it to transport items to the next room, which I quickly overruled!

There are two settings; either a time setting or scheduled cleaning. Time setting is where you set a one-off time for it to start vacuuming and it is great when you know you are going out. The scheduled cleaning is a useful setting especially if you work regular hours and want it to clean on a reoccurring schedule.

I have circled through all the modes and find them easy to use. Despite the compact size of the vacuum cleaner, it has big suction and creates little noise which is excellent. I am amazed to find so much dirt in this little machine! It is able to move around things and works its way through the rooms smoothly. Occasionally, it did try to go over our folding chair leg bar but it managed to come back off it by itself.

Overall I love this robot vacuum cleaner. I am very impressed with how well it performs in cleaning and that it is easy to use. I would definitely recommend it. It is available to buy from eufylife.com, use code “vaptno4” to get a 15% off of your purchase on RoboVac 11 through 11/09/2018 to 13/09/2018.
