World Book Day Book Club with Scholastic

1 March 2018 by Eileen

World Book Day 2018 takes place today 1st March! It is a day to celebrate the wonderful world of books and authors. What did your child dress up as? Did your school celebrate this day too?

World Book Day Book Club with Scholastic

Did you know that Scholastic have launched a brilliant new collection for World Book Day? There is an extensive selection of over 400 books, exclusive offers and money saving packs which have been expertly chosen to inspire bookworms of all ages to keep reading on World Book Day and beyond.

All the books featured in the World Book Day Book Club have been significantly discounted with up to 70% off the RRP – and, when you shop with Scholastic, they will donate 25% worth of free books back to your nominated school or nursery for every order over £10. So it is a great time to stock up on some books and help contribute back to your children’s school!

Scholastic offer you an array of unbeatable discounts on an unbelievable variety of titles, from around 70 publishers and feature well-loved family favourites such as Julia Donaldson, Jill Murphy and Mick Inkpen, as well as new paperback editions from best-selling authors including David Walliams, Jeff Kinney and Cressida Cowell, plus a brand new paperback exclusive from Michael Morpurgo, the debut children’s novel from the multi-talented Alesha Dixon and the timely release of My Story: Suffragette by Carol Drinkwater.

There are books for babies, invaluable recommendations for teen readers and all kinds of activity kits so whether they’re fascinated by the sea, stars or scratch art, there’s guaranteed to be something to capture every child’s imagination this World Book Day.

Books have a way of touching our lives, starting from when little ones are just starting to read like Mr K who is now seeing the world differently now that he can read. He has moved on from picture to fiction books. Recently, he has asked for Tom Gates books and they are on offer for £24.99 for a collection of Tom Gates 12 books. That is an amazing saving of £58.89! He is really enjoying reading them and within two hours, he had nearly finished one!

If you also want to grab yourself a bargain, then don’t forget to visit World Book Day Book Club (search by age and type of book) to buy it now!

To help children to keep reading, Scholastic would like to invite them to send in a video or written review about a book they’ve recently enjoyed, for their chance to win £30 worth of books for themselves and £30 for their school or nursery. There will be three different age range categories to enter (divided into 0-6 years, 7-11 years and 11+ years) with one prize available for each category.

To enter the #KeepReading competition, please send your review, stating the relevant age category, using the hashtag #KeepReading and by tagging Scholastic (@ScholasticUK) and World Book Day (@WorldBookDayUK). All entries need to be received by midnight on Thursday 29th March 2018.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Hello!

Welcome to ET Speaks From Home!

Hi, I’m Eileen — a mum of two teenagers, aged 18 and 17, and a passionate lifestyle blogger sharing snippets of family life, creativity, and culture since May 2012. My daughter lives with visual impairment, and our journey together has shaped much of the heart behind this blog.

What started as a small space to document family memories has grown into a vibrant corner of the internet where I share my love for cooking, crafting, DIY projects, Chinese culture, parenting, and honest product and YouTube reviews. Whether I’m creating festive crafts, exploring Chinese traditions, or trying out new recipes, I hope to inspire others through everyday moments from home.

Over the years, ET Speaks From Home has been recognised by several parenting and blogging communities, including:

* Top 20 UK Parent Blogs (2020)
* Tots100 Top 20 Blog on Twitter (2014)
