People always say practice makes perfect and it really does make perfect! Revising your schoolwork is the key to success. But do you really know what and how to revise? Collins are here to help children practice their work matched to the requirements of the national curriculum to help prepare them for their tests!
Collins KS2 Revision and Practice contains clear and accessible explanations of every topic with lots of practice opportunities throughout. It is based on a repeated and spaced practice method that works to help improve SATs performance.
Mr K and Ms C are both in Key Stage 2 and later this year, Mr K will be taking his SATs. I am so pleased that we have received these KS2 SATs question books, revision books and practice workbooks just in time for him to get him onto the right path.
In each book, questions split into three levels of increasing difficulty: Challenge 1, Challenge 2 and Challenge 3 followed by tests. You can also track your child’s progress and identify which areas need further revision and practice.
When is the best time to get them to revise? Revision should always start early and it helps children to identify any weaknesses. You don’t have to spend hours doing revision. Try to do a little each week. We tend to do it when we have some downtime at home or sometimes we have taken them out if we know we will have some time to spare too.
We all enjoy using these books as they are well structured and supports the new national curriculum. Both my children were able to revise with minimal help from us. I also like that the print is large with plenty of spaces to write the answers. Ms C has a visual impairment and usually requires print with font size 16 but she is able to read the text easily. So far, we have enjoyed our time doing the revision and putting it into practice. The revision that sticks! I would recommend the books if you are looking to help your child to revise.
