21 November 2017 by Eileen 1 Comment

This stylish, neat and portable HP Sprocket Photo Printer prints your social moments through your smart device via Instagram, Google, Facebook or camera roll, wirelessly and instantly! Not only that, you can also add text, borders, emoji’s and more, on your snapshots and stick this print card-sized photos anywhere you want.

This HP Sprocket limited edition gift box comes with a White HP Sprocket printer (plus a pack of Zink Smartsheets – 10 pieces), Rose Gold Wallet Case, Photo Album, micro USB cable and a code for a free personalised sprocket skin from Wrappz. This bundle gift set is great value for anyone for any occasion, and will be perfect for Christmas! It is a chic thing to have, especially amongst young Millennials and Gen Z-ers!

HP Sprocket Photo Printer Review

This compact printer is lightweight and fits easily into your bag. It is very well made and stylish. I love the smooth surfaces of the printer and it’s nice that it doesn’t leave any fingerprints mark on it. One of the great features of Sprocket is that there is no ink requirement and that means no mess! It does requires Zink Smartsheets and this bundle comes with 10 sheets for you to start with. To install the Zink Smartsheets, you need to slide back the lid and place the blue card face down and the HP Zink Smartsheets face up. This blue Smartsheet calibrates the printer to each specific pack of HP Zink paper. Additionally, it helps to remove any dust or debris from the paper path that may impact print quality. So remember not to throw it away! They do sell a pack of 20 at a reasonable price!

Before you start printing, you would need to download the free app on Google Play or App Store on your smart device. Your smart device will require Android 4.4 and above or iOS 8.0 and above.

I have download the app to my iPad Pro and it works very well with it. It required me to pair the smart device with the printer via Bluetooth, then sign in to your social media accounts for Sprocket to access your photos. From there, you can print any photos you want! It is that easy! You can even share the printer with your friends by allowing them to pair up and print! It only takes a few seconds to connect and print.

At any time, Sprocket is not in use, it will turn itself off to save power. Then you have to disconnect your Bluetooth and reconnect it again.

I did print out a couple of photos through my Instagram account via the app. It did have a huge white border on the top and bottom because the photos were squared shape. If you think it is too plain, you can either add cute stickers or frames on it to decorate it!

Nevertheless, the smartsheet will be filled if your photo is more traditional rectangular shaped, just like this photo of my sister and children!  We took it inside Ferris Wheel when we were in Osaka, Japan!

The print resolution is 313 x 400 dpi, which is good enough for such a small 5 cm by 7.6 cm snapshot. The colour and sharpness of the image is top notch. I really enjoy using this printer and I think this will go down well for anyone! This is available to buy from HP and other good retailers such as Currys, John Lewis and Amazon.
