Hot Wheels Roto Revolution Track Review

2 November 2017 by Eileen

Hot Wheels Roto Revolution Track is a brand new skills based track set, launched just in time for Christmas, which challenges the challengers in a head-to-head face off with friends! The challengers have to strategically launch their Hot Wheels cars with the perfect timing to loop around the set and crash and smash into your opponent’s cars.

Hot Wheels Roto Revolution Track Review

This Roto Revolution track includes two launchers, two Hot Wheels cars and three loops! This is suitable for aged 5 and above. It requires 4 size D batteries to run the Roto Revolution which are not included.

Mr K was thrilled by this rotating track as he had never seen or used one before! He built this interactive and strategic track in no time using the full coloured illustration instructions. It is very straightforward to assemble. The pieces are well labelled and easy to slot in. The only thing I had to help him with was to slot in the two launcher tracks as they are situated at the base of the Roto Revolution.

Once you are ready to play, flip the on/off switch on the Roto Revolution. It will then start to rotate. Players have to wait for the perfect timing to launch their cars. If they launched it at the wrong track (without the entrance flap), their car won’t even make it onto the track. There are only two tracks that are suitable for launch as they have an opening entrance flap. Initially, Ms C didn’t get the idea and was quite frustrated as her car wouldn’t make it onto the track! However, Mr K didn’t have much problem as he knew the tracks inside out as he had built it. After showing her the entrance flap, she was able to get her timing right to launch. It did take her a lot of times to get it through.

This kit does have its limitations as it won’t be able to join up with other Hot Wheels track sets. Nevertheless it has fun-ability and play values to tests their skills for patience and accuracy. This Roto Revolution track is very unique to play. It is a great set to challenge yourself or with your friends. It is well made and should last for a long time. Also all the parts can come off quite easily for storage. It is available to build from good toy retailers and Amazon at RRP £49.99.
