Sylvanian Families Village Cake Shop

7 July 2017 by Eileen

Welcome to this charming Sylvanian Families Village Cake shop with many delicious looking cakes and beautiful window displays! This set comes with Toy Poodle Shopkeeper Mother Veronica Cakebread in her pretty uniform. She is the pastry chef and everyone in the village loves her beautiful cakes with decorations that look like jewels.

This Village Cake shop set comes with over 85 pieces which includes all of the equipment you need to get baking, including a piping bag, tongs and a whisk for mixing, from 11 varieties of cake to a choice of pretty gift boxes. There is even a mini story book included for you to read at bedtime.

It does require adult or older children to stick the stickers on the cake shop and displays, assemble the display table and triangular roof. There are also a few items that require adult help, like putting gift boxes together. Once again, I love that you get great quality and well-made pieces that will last for a long time. Each piece includes lots of lovely detail. Not only that, your child gets to decorate their own cakes by using the strawberries and decorations from the set. Ms C absolutely loves it. Occasionally, she needs help to remove the decorations as the displays can sit quite tightly on the cakes.

Inside the shop, it has a counter for Mother Veronica Cakebread to pipe her beautiful cakes and a cash register. It has one floating shelf to display the gift boxes and to hang her baking equipment.

Next is the display table with a clear shelf where she proudly displays all her cakes for her customers to choose from. This display is simple and well made. The shop doesn’t comes with as many shelves as the Sylvanian Families Brick Oven Bakery but it has lovely vintage window panels to let in lots of light.

This cake shop is part of the Village Life range which connects to Cosy Cottage Starter Home, Cedar Terrace, Boutique, Seaside Ice Cream Shop, Toy Shop, Boutique, Beechwood Hall and Country Tree School.

Ms C loves this new addition set and now she can play with it with the rest of her sets to create a more elaborate village life with her Sylvanian Families. I would recommend this set and it is available to buy from good retailers like Tesco, John Lewis and Amazon.
