Pie Face Sky High Review

6 July 2017 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Pie Face Sky High is the latest exciting and fun carnival game for children and adults! It is all down to strength! The game is set up like a strength-tester carnival game towering over 3 feet tall with the same concept as the original – to give your opponent a face full of whipped cream!

Pie Face Sky High is suitable for children aged five and above, and for two players or more. Inside the box, there is 4 track pieces, sliding disk, pie thrower, throwing arm, chin rest, splash-card mask, 2 splash-card panels, plastic hammer, spinner (with arrow and base) and instructions. There are no batteries required for this machine.

It requires adult help to piece it all together. It is quite straightforward but I found it hard to slot in place the splash-card panels to the track pieces. So I just left the panels hanging loose on the side which still works fine. To take it apart for storage is also easy! Everything fits back into the box and it is easy to disassemble the track pieces by squeezing the bottom of the pieces.

There are three different level: easy (green colour), medium (yellow colour) and hard (red colour). The colour you land on determines the difficulty level you will face. The number determines the maximum number of swings you will get. So if you spin and land on 3 yellow, you will set the level on medium and take three swings!

Now to play the game, one player stands or sits on a chair, looks through the mask and faces the throwing arm. The other player hits the base plate with the plastic hammer hard enough to pie their opponent! A number of times I’ve had to stop the children from hitting the base plate too many times as they were too eager to pie their opponent and to scare them! The player to reach 3 points wins.

We have played it with our friends and most of them were scared except my son who loves cream. Also playing in hot weather is not great for whipped cream as it melts very quickly! If you didn’t want to put cream, simply leave it empty! The throwing arm is good enough to scare most of them! We all had fun playing this just to scare one another! It is available to buy in good toy retailers.
