Getting ready for this summer holiday!

13 July 2017 by Eileen 1 Comment

As the summer holiday is approaching fast, we can’t wait to get ourselves all geared up with the latest beauty trends and ready to have fun. Braid hair, bold & unique make-up and with a lots of glitter, or maybe unicorn nail polish! My daughter would definitely love it.

Getting ready for this summer holiday!

As a mother of two, I often find that I have to keep up with the latest beauty trends in order to be able to be on the same page with my daughter and our friend’s teenagers! I am pleased to read about this Ellisons ebook from the UK’s leading supplier in the professional hair and beauty industry, Ellisons, about all the different beauty trends for this year, with tips and tricks for everything from nails, hair, tanning and more. Did you know that shampooing everyday could be doing your hair more harm than good? Washing your hair too often can strip it of its natural oils and leave hair dry. No wonder I have so many split ends on my hair! I am a clean freak and I can’t go a day without washing my hair. Maybe I should try dry shampoo for an instant refresh!

This coming summer holiday, I am bringing both of my children back to visit Singapore and Japan! Yes, two countries in three weeks! We are very excited and can’t wait to go. To get myself ready, I have come out with a perfect schedule for myself. I am one of those women who is never perfectly groomed at all stages of the year and require plenty of help before heading out on holiday!

Firstly, I have to do is to sort out my feet! It is time to give my feet a bit of TLC by soaking it and applying foot moisturiser. Then whip out my fancy looking flip flops so avoid looking like elephant feet!

Then one week before we leave, I am going off to get my nails done. To be honest, my daughter would love to paint my nails with the bright yellow nail polish on one of the Ellisons nail stations using her Easy Nail Spa toy! This summer, we are going to Osaka Universal Studios hoping to catch Pokémon, hence the yellow theme!

Next is to get my hair trimmed and shave before I go on holiday. I am not a big fan of waxing so I prefer to pack disposable razors. Always pack travel size sun cream and face cream. I used to buy them from the duty free shop but having two children with me, shopping will be the last thing on my mind.

So what are your essentials to get ready for this summer holiday? Let me know your favourite essential in the comments below.
