ChillFactor Frozen Brain Slushy Maker

28 February 2017 by Eileen

Frozen Brain Slushy Maker is ChillFactor’s brand new scary monster slushy maker that makes your own instant slushy in a minute. Slushy is great for any time of the day and season and they are especially popular with children. This is a great product that allows you to make slushies on demand!

Before you start using the slushy maker, disassemble everything before washing. There are instructions included which shows you the step-by-step with photo captions. Once dried and reassembled, pop it into the freezer for 4 – 6 hours or until it is frozen. I prefer just to leave the cooling pack in the freezer rather than the whole cup.

In this video, I will show you how to disassemble the slushy maker and how to make a slushy. It is so easy that my children can do it too! https://youtu.be/UAUXgT6WQOw

The outer cup is made from soft silicon and it is slightly smaller and shorter than the old version of the slushy maker. The inner lining is the cooling pack which looks like strips of ice packs. All the parts are easy to wash but it’s not very easy to disassemble the monster face. It comes with a spoon straw which is slightly short if you wish to drink it via the lid.

I love the idea of having a slushy any time you like and it is a massive hit in our house! Both my children want to use it. It is a shame that it will take another 4 – 6 hours to freeze it again before we can re-use it. And also this slushy maker can only make a small portion.

Each cup can roughly take about 120 – 200ml of chilled drink. This is a nice amount for an individual but not enough to share. We would love to see a larger version of this that could make enough slushy for the whole family in one go! For now, it is best to get one each for your family if they love slushy!

You can only use chilled drink – it won’t work if you use hot water and it could damage the product. It takes around one minute of squeezing but sometimes may take up to 3-4 minutes if dairy products are used.

In addition to making your favourite drinks, you can also make slushy dairy products, sodas or juices! We tried it with squash and it is amazing! ChillFactor can be found in retailers such as Character Online, Smyths Toys, Amazon and Argos. There are two of this type to collect. This is a great item but the difficulty in removing the monster face cap makes it tricky to use in practice.
