Kitchen Gadgets & Gift with Qwerkity

17 January 2017 by Eileen

This week we have received a range of kitchen gadgets from Qwerkity, which sells good quality, unusual, practical and fun products at affordable prices for everyone. After having a look through their range of kitchen gadgets, I found these three products which I have always wanted: the crisp ease tray, microwave steamer and silicon pastry mat.

I have owned cheap versions of these from those bargain stores and they have never been great in quality and often breaks apart quickly. Now with this oven crisper tray, I will no longer have to turn the fries or food during cooking! I love the red silicon rim which gives it structure and makes it easy to hold using oven gloves. The tray is easy to handle and to clean too. This mesh allows the air and heat to circulate evenly around the food. It cooks the food well and crispy too. As this tray is made from mesh, I would recommend putting a tray underneath it to catch any crumbs, oil, etc. that may fall through the mesh during cooking.

Next is this large capacity microwave steamer from Creative Products. This steamer has removable dividers in the steamer basket which allows you to configure it for different steaming options like vegetables and fish. I do find that the dividers fit quite loosely and occasionally will fall off. To be honest, I will probably lose the dividers and randomly place my food. The steamer basket is removable so that the steamer can also be used as storage container in the fridge or freezer. Overall I like the concept of the steamer and I will use it very often. Steaming vegetables is the best way to preserve the vitamins and minerals in all types of fresh vegetables than to boil them in the pot.

Lastly, I love to bake so I went for the silicon pastry mat as I didn’t have a proper worktop to do my pastry. This mat is just the right size to work on for various sizes of pastries. The mat is very soft and easy to clean. It does attract a lot of dirt on to the surface but a gentle clean with a wet cloth should do the job.

Overall I am well impressed with the items that I have received. Indeed, they are good quality kitchen gadgets at great affordable prices. If you are looking for kitchen gadgets and gifts, do check out Qwerkity!
