Paper Plane Shooter Review

9 October 2016 by Eileen

Flying a paper plane couldn’t be easier with this Paper Plane Shooter from Vivid Toys!  This unique toy has a slot-in mechanism that allows you to insert your paper planes quickly and easily and fire up to five planes at once!

We were so excited when we heard about this paper plane shooter.  My children love to fold paper planes and fly them whenever they are free, or sometimes it can help keep them busy in a restaurant while we wait for our food too!  Now with this awesome gadget, they can see their creations fly even higher!  It comes with 10 plane templates, in two distinctive colours and style: Gilder Plane and Stunt Plane.  The gilder plane will fly faster whilst the stunt plane will fly the furthest.

You can also use your own A4 or A5 paper (80g or lighter) to make your own plane.  I have tried the jet style plane, it won’t work on the shooter as the nose is too narrow to slot into the gap.  Hence it is best to make a glider or stunt plane.

It requires 4 AAA batteries which are not included in the set. The battery compartments can be found on both sides of the handle of the shooter. The shooter is made from a good quality plastic. Even though the shooter is slightly bulky, it’s not too heavy for children to hold.

You can place up to five planes onto the shooter and watch them launch it into the air. Sometimes it can accidentally launch two planes at the same time. Also if the paper plane is slightly creased, it won’t work very well.

It has an on/off button. Even if the shooter is turn on, the machine won’t run until you place the paper plane into the slot. Both my children enjoy playing with this. This is not a toy that they will play daily but it is a toy they will treasure and play with their friends.  This shooter makes me fall in love with the art of paper plane folding again!  Using it to launch your planes, makes flying them more interesting! This is available to buy from good toy shops and Amazon.
