Crazy Claw Review

1 October 2016 by Eileen

Crazy Claw is a colourful, bouncing balls table-top arcade game that comes with a grabbing claw, operated by each child in turn.  It is suitable for aged five and above for two to four players.

Crazy Claw Review

The set comes with 12 balls, 12 toy tokens, 4 collection cards, sticker sheets, unit base & lid and folding clear unit walls and instructions.  It requires adult help to assemble and it took me about 10 minutes to set up.  It is straightforward to place the unit walls onto the base and lid.  Occasionally when children pick up the cube-shaped Crazy Claw box or accidentally bump the wall, the box will come apart.  The box is a scaled-down version of the real thing, with four see-through walls, and four paddles – one on each side – fitted into its base.

To play this game, each player is given a Collection Card, and the youngest person takes control of the grabber first.  The other players start to pound up and down on all the paddles, creating mayhem within the box – with the colourful balls bouncing in all directions.  It is very loud when all players are pounding the paddles. The players have to capture a ball with the grabber and opening the ball to see whether the circular Toy Token inside matches one of the three toys shown on the Clawmaster’s collection card.  We did find it hard to open the ball especially young children will need adult to open the ball.

To win the game a player must collect all three toy tokens matching the three pictures on their collection card.  Until that point, everyone just keeps on taking turns and trying to capture those bouncing balls.  This is an interesting game and is loved by all the children.  They were very excited to bounce the paddles and love using the grabbing claw.  It can get very loud with all of them playing it but you know that they all are having fun!  For stockists and to play games online, visit www.drumondpark.com.  This is available to buy in good stores and Amazon.
