Have you heard that Beefeater have a new spring menu? Yes, now they have added freshly prepared dishes like Surf and Turf, Smoked Salmon On Toast, Spicy Chicken Wings, lighter options and many more. Also, there are Mr Men inspired favourites for the kids menu too. Do check out your local Beefeater for opening hours and offers from their website.
Yesterday, we went to our Ladybridge Beefeater for a meal. The place is very easy to access with a lot of parking and next to shopping areas with shops like Boots, Matalan, Mark & Spencer, Toy R Us etc. It is situated next to Premier Inn with free WIFI. When we arrived, we were shown to our table quickly and both children were given Mr Men colouring sheets.
We love pub meals and an important factor for us is that they offer good value for money and good choice of food for the children. I am very pleased that Beefeater has it all.
Mr C went for Surf and Turf from their new spring menu while I went for more classic pub food – Gammon Steak! Both children love the varieties of the children set menu. It is also good value for money, from £4.49 for one course plus squash, £5.49 for two course or all three for just £5.99. They went for the three course meals.
The Surf and Turf is the ultimate pairing of seafood and meat with the lean, juicy 8oz sirloin topped with half shell garlic king prawns! The king prawns were cooked in a delicious garlic butter and the sirloin steak was wonderfully tender and succulent.
I went for the gorgeous 10oz Gammon Steak and I chose to have a fried egg and French fries to go with it. The gammon was well cooked and very juicy. The egg was runny which is just the way I like it too. As for the French fries, they were so crunchy! I was so full that I didn’t have enough room for my pudding.
Mr K went for Garlic Mushrooms for starters and Bangers & Mash for his main course. Ms C went for Garlic Bread and Popping Chicken. The portions were good, and the food was well cooked and delicious for both of my young children. Later, Mr K went for the mini chocolate challenge for his pudding. The chocolate brownies were very chocolaty and spongy. He dipped all the ingredients into the chocolate sauce and finished it in no time! He really loved it!
It seems their new spring menu has included more salads options and also a few great choices of spring puddings like mixed fruit trifle and lemon curd sorbet. I would easily recommend them to anyone. Don’t forget to sign up to their reward cards to collect points!
