Inside Out Review

22 November 2015 by Eileen

This coming Monday 23rd November 2015, Inside Out will be available to buy on 3D Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, DVD and digital download! We are fortunate to be invited to join in their exclusive Inside Out viewing party tweet along from 4 to 6pm. Do join us and use hashtag #InsideOutParty.

Disney•Pixar’s major emotion picture, Inside Out has taken a mind-blowing £38million after 10 weeks at the UK box office. The film, which took £7.38m in its opening weekend, is the biggest original Pixar film of all time in the UK and is second only to Frozen in terms of original animation.

From the producer of “Up”, Academy Award-Winning Director Pete Doctor, and an original score by Michael Giacchino (“The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “Up”), Inside Out is a heart-warming and hilarious introduction to the little voices inside your head. With the incredible voice styling’s of Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation, Mean Girls) as Joy, Phyllis Smith (The Office: US, Bad Teacher) as the voice of Sadness, Bill Hader (Tropic Thunder, Saturday Night Live) as the voice of Fear, Lewis Black (The Daily Show) as the voice of Anger and Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project, The Office: US) as Disgust, Inside Out has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places.

The story is about an 11-year-old girl named Riley, whose life goes through big changes when her family moves from Minnesota to San Francisco. The movie is mostly set inside Riley’s mind, where five core emotions of Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear and Anger – each imagined as a tiny person and manage the brain’s control centre.

We had already watched it at the cinema in July. I think the whole plot is very well written and perhaps has even more meaning for older children and adults who can relate to her situation. It also has humorous moments mixed in along with the emotional experience. I would highly recommend the movie and you may wish to take some tissues too! This is definitely a must-buy. You can get it from all good retailers including Amazon.

We have received a great party pack with lots of other goodies like O’Mara Children’s colouring books, snacks, Innocent smoothies and Aquafresh Brushtime toolkits. Both children were thrilled with all these goodies and with this Disney Inside Out 2 minutes time, they don’t have any excuse to not fully brush their teeth!

Disclosure: We received the party pack for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own. We have included an Amazon affiliate link to the product. If you click on this and buy, we may earn a small commission.
