Getting into Frozen Character, Elsa

17 March 2015 by Eileen 1 Comment

The popularity of the Frozen movie has been phenomenal from the moment it graced the cinemas in 2013. All the little girls wanted to be like Elsa, the Snow Queen! My daughter, Ms C is the same too! She loves the movie and is mad for all things Frozen including of the dress, plush toys, dolls, wallpaper etc.!

She was so thrilled when she saw this 2 in 1 Frozen Magic Snow Sleeve from Flair and gorgeous Frozen Elsa Deluxe dress from Rubies.

FROZEN 2 in 1 magic snow sleeve

This 2 in 1 Frozen Magic Snow Sleeve is a snow/water shooter where you can conceal your ice powers until you’re ready to ‘Let It Go!’ and shoot ice and snow into the world around you. Inside this set, it comes with 1 magic snow can, 1 refillable water bottle, bracelet snow shooter and a gorgeous half arm sleeve. This shooter is suitable for aged 5 onwards and very easy to put on. On the shooter, there is a strap to adjust to fit and a snowflake shaped clasp to conceal the strap.

To put in the snow can/water bottle, simply slot in firmly. Then place your hand into the well-padded front part of the bracelet. To shoot the ice/water, raise your hand upwards to shoot the snow/water. My daughter found it easy to use the snow can as the nozzle will keep spraying magic snow with just one pull. The water bottle requires a few back-and-forth hand actions to get it to spray water.

In this video, my daughter and I will show you the shooter and how it works.

This shooter is the perfect size and weight for my 5 year old daughter. It is lightweight but it did get tiring for her after wearing it for tool long.

Obviously Queen Elsa wouldn’t be the Snow Queen without her dress! This gorgeous dress comes in three different sizes: small, medium and large. Ms C is wearing the medium size dress for ages 5 – 6 years old which is quite a snug fit for her tiny frame. I am pleased with the quality of the dress. The colour of the dress is bright and the material of the dress is very silky and smooth. There is Elsa’s photo on the chest area surrounded with white feathers. The cape is attached on to the dress with Velcro which allows you to remove it if you want. It is beautifully printed in glitter snowflakes.

Ms C is so happy as she can now show off her snow skills whenever she wants with the shooter! I only allow her to play with her shooter outside the house as it can get quite messy with the magic snow and water. So do play with caution!

Did you know that on 27th March 2015, Walt Disney Animation Studios short film Frozen Fever will open in front of Disney’s live-action feature Cinderella?

In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but when Elsa catches a cold, her powers may put more than just the party at risk. It features a new original song ‘Making Today A Perfect Day’ by Oscar®-winning songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. So do check it out! Cinderella (and Frozen Fever) will hit UK cinemas from Friday 27th March 2015.
