I have received their latest 720502 model. The difference between this model and their old 720020 steam cleaner is the anti-calc cartridge which can only be found in the newer model.
This steam cleaner comes with variable steam that can be used in upright and handheld mode for those hard to reach places and delicate areas around the home. It comes with nine different accessories to clean all areas of the home; including carpets, sealed hard floors, work surfaces, windows and upholstery. With a nice splash of fresh green colour, this steam cleaner looks very stylish and modern. It comes at a good working height with an easy to press button. There is minimal assembly. All you need is a Philips screwdriver to fix two screws onto the handle.
The generous five metre cable allows me to work around a big room without having me to unplug or use an extension cable. The cleaner has a 400ml water capacity which is good for about 14 – 20 minutes of use. It covers the surfaces of a least three medium size rooms. I would suggest filling the cleaner with a jug as opposed to filling straight from the tap.
I love that it heats up quickly. According to the manufacturer, it takes just 30 seconds, but I didn’t time it as I am very pleased how quickly I can start cleaning. The steam output is very consistent and smooth. It does get quite wet on a hard floor so try to work as fast as you can! Also wear a clean pair of slippers too. I had worn an old pair of slippers and managed to get dirty stains on the floor after cleaning it. If you are steaming your carpet, remember to use the carpet glider and cloth and open windows to dry the carpet quicker. It will take about 15 minutes for the carpet to dry.
It is also easy to convert into a handheld steam cleaner to use with a host of accessories. The on-and-off button is located at the back of the handheld steam cleaner. I’m not so keen on the button as it comes with a soft plastic cover over it which I find hard to press. It also comes with a variable steam knob but it didn’t have indicator on it. It makes it hard to adjust the level of steam.
Behind the water tank is the anti-scale cartridge. It helps to prevent limescale build up in the water tank and must be changed every three months depending on how hard the water is which is used.
The handheld steam cleaner alone is quite heavy – after using for a short time, I had to rest or swap hands. It does get hot on the handle so be careful how you hold it. Overall I am very pleased with the steam cleaner. It is quick to steam up, has a long cable, is easy to swap accessories, has a big water tank capacity and is very maneuverable!
UPDATE: Lasted till Dec 2021, when I accidentally dropped and broke the handle.
