Hold That Thought Milton! is a book written by award winning author Linda Ravin Lodding and illustrated by Ross Collins. It was released on 7 March 2014 and published by Parragon Publishing. The book is paperback containing about 32 pages and with book cover dividers. It is so handy to use these covers to bookmark a page. The fonts come in various sizes with bold typefaces and there are humorous, quirky illustrations.
The story follows a young boy, Milton, who has a lot on his mind. As hard as he tries, he struggles to get anyone to listen to him and he has something very important to say. Each time he asks a question, he is asked to hold on to his thought. So when Milton loses his beloved frog, Burp, he has so many thoughts in his head. He is worried that Burp has been ran over by a train, or flushed down the toilet bowl and many more thoughts. Right up to Aunty Lulu’s wedding, something happened. Something big happened and I will let you to read it.
This is a fun and comical tale and perfect for the whole family to enjoy reading together. This book also stresses to parents to listen to your children. How many times do we dismiss them and not give them the full attention they deserve? It reminds parents to spend more family time together and talk to one another whenever we can. So do remember to listen to your children and answer their questions.
