Bandai Pac-Man Ghost Grabbin’ Pac

15 March 2014 by Eileen

The legendary Pac-Man has made a triumphant return with a variety of cool figures, mini plush and even a transforming vehicle.  They are the brand new colourful range of toys from Bandai and will enable kids to collect their favourite Pac-Man characters, or battle Pac with the baddies from the show.

Bandai Pacman Ghost Grabbing Pac

There are three to collect: Pac Man, Metal-Pac and Ice-Pac.  They are suitable for aged 4 onwards.  This loveable yellow Pac-Man comes with a unique action – by tilting the head back his tongue pops out ready for grabbing ghosts!

This is a 10cm tall figurine with two 360 degree movable upper limbs and the shoes are also able to rotate.  It has minimal fun factor and is more of a collectors item than a toy.  My children played with it and managed to break off the head within a few uses.  Luckily, it was very easy to connect back again.

Inside this set, it comes with a code to bring this into life inside the FREE Pac-Man Dash app.  The app is available in App Store and Google Play.  Once we downloaded the game, we had to play to complete three missions before we could use the code.  Once the code is used, you are able to use Pac-Man with his unique tongue to dash in the mission.  But this Pac-Man is only valid for 7 days.  During the 7-day rental, the item can be purchased for half the usual number of cookies in the game.  There are more than 70 missions in stages based on the animated series!  Try to collect cookies, then trade them for items to power up!

Pac-Man is available now in The Entertainer, Smyths Toys Superstores, Toys R Us, Amazon, Asda, Toymaster and all good toy stores.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

This looks like good fun! Pac man was my favourite arcade game when I was younger so nice to see him make a return!
