Our Magical Bed

2 March 2014 by Eileen

This is my competition entry for: The Age of Believing: Flight of Fancy competition run by Memory Foam Warehouse.

We always love competition and Memory Foam Warehouse is running a fantastic new competition inspired by the much-loved classic Disney’s ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks’ – and the winner will receive a £100 voucher to spend at the Disney store!

night in snack

To be a part of a fun foray into fantasy, we have received the 1971 film ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks’ DVD and a huge range of snacks.  So this afternoon, my lucky children have a table full of snacks to nibble on while they had their thinking caps on.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

We recently received Walkers new products: Pops.  They are called Pops because they are ‘air popped’ to give them a unique explosion of flavour with 50% less fat than standard potatoes crisps.  They are quite thick and are each of the pieces are circular shaped.  We tried the Original flavour which are flavoursome and very crunchy.  They were available since 15th February 2014 and come in three other flavours: Sour Cream and Onion; Melted Cheese and Crispy Bacon; and Prawn Cocktail.  The Pop crisps are thicker than their own original potato crisps.  The shape is easy to hold and munch down quickly.  I think this is another great product by Walkers but nothing will beat their original potato crisps.  Their cheese and onion will always be my favourite.  But as an alternative thicker crisp or if you prefer a healthier option, it is worth giving Pops a go.

We also tried Perkier Tiffin which are a gluten free crunchy chocolate biscuit with honeycomb and raisins and covered in milk chocolate.  Perkier offer gluten-free products from healthy breakfast cereals, porridges and porridge pots, to chocolate snacks and bread, and are available from Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda.  This Tiffin snack is a little too sweet for my liking but both my children love them.  I think it is because of the chocolate!  This definitely great for a gluten free diet.

Perkier goodies

Both kids are happily watching the film, munching the snacks and doing their drawing.  This is what they drew.

My 4 year old, Ms C had drawn the witch with her broomstick with her flying cat going on a sunny holiday.  Ms C wanted to fly to Singapore to visit her grandma and aunties.

Meanwhile, my 6 year old Mr K also wanted to go to a hot place as he wanted to be able to wear shorts and jump around the garden!  We all look forward to warmer weather in the UK.  It seems that spring is still not quite here yet.

I think both children can’t wait to go ride on their magical bed to a hot and sunny place!  Some hotter weather would be a welcome change where we could enjoy ourselves and go rock climbing, riding and many more! Thanks to Memory Foam Warehouse for this opportunity to spend family time together.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review and competition, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Lovely drawings. Good luck in the competition. I missed the wine, as pointed out by Jenny, but I was thinking, children drawing in the lounge? 🙂

And the wine on the side? Was that for Mummy and Daddy’s film time later in the day? 😀
