Chill Factor Slushy Maker for you this Summer

7 August 2013 by Eileen

This Summer has been fabulous for us as a family.  We’ve been able to get out and about so much more easily and it puts a whole different complexion on things when it’s been warm and sunny.  A by-product of that though is that we’ve been eating so many ice lollies, ice creams and we’ve been using so much ice from our ice maker that it’s been working non-stop.  The Chill Factor Slushy Maker now allows us to add ‘slushies’  to that list too.

Chill Factor Slushy Maker for you this Summer

Manchester based toy company, Character Online, are helping everyone keep cool this Summer with their Chill Factor Squeeze Cup. This cup allows you to make slushies on demand! It is not only for children, as any cold drink can be turned into a slushy. Before you start using the slushy maker, disassemble everything before washing. There are instructions included which shows you the step by step with photo captions.  Next pop it into the freezer for 4 – 6 hours or until it is frozen.

Chill Factor Slushy Maker

In this video, I will show you how to make a slushy. It is so easy that my son can do it too! https://youtu.be/RHh9cSWpqzU

The outer cup is made from soft silicon and the inner lining is like strips of ice packs. They are easy to wash and disassemble. It comes with a spoon straw too. I love the ideas of having a slushy any time you like and it is a massive hit in our house! My son in particular is always wanting to use it. It is a shame that it will take another 4 – 6 hours to freeze it again before we can re-use it.

Each cup can take about 160 – 230ml of chilled drink. This is the right amount for each individual but not enough to share. We would love to see a larger version of this that could make enough slushy for the whole family in one go! In addition to making your favourite drinks, you can also make slushy dairy products, sodas or juices! We tried it with on Diet Coke and it is amazing! I rate this product 5 stars out of 5. ChillFactor™ can be found in retailers such as Smyths Toys, Amazon and Argos. Also check out their ice cream maker here.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
