Be a Knight, Do it Right! DVD Review

26 July 2013 by Eileen 1 Comment

Early this month, we went to Warwick castle to see the launch of the second series of Mike the Knight – Be a Knight, Do it Right!

Be a Knight, Do it Right! DVD Review

In this brand-new DVD, there are seven episodes:

  1. The Tripe Trophy Triumph: Mike sets out to be the best knight he can be as he attempts the mighty challenge of winning three trophies in one day.  Mike is confident he can triumph at the games, but when his dragon friends win instead, the knight-in-training tries to meddle with the rules! Mike soon realises that winning is not the most important thing after all when his friends are left unhappy. Aided by his rallying cry ‘be a Knight, do it right’, Mike soon learns to play fair and, with a little chivalry, discovers a surprise reward that is more knightly than any other!
  2. The New Castle
  3. The Big Parade
  4. The Knightly Welcome
  5. The Wild Boar
  6. The Great Rescue
  7. Peace and Quiet

It also comes with a bonus sing-a-long theme tune and the chivalrous code!  We did try the sing-a-long and both kids were able to sing and follow even though they don’t know how to read! In addition to the DVD, there are extras which you can access from a PC. There is a reward chart for you to print out, as well as a reward certificate and a host of other exciting activities. This is one of the examples:

Both of my children enjoyed watching it over and over again.  This DVD is great for road trips if you have a portable DVD player/laptop as it lasts for 84 minutes (approx) and keeps the children entertained. I rate this 5 stars out of 5 as we have two little Mike the Knight fans at home! Available from Monday 29th July 2013 RRP £12.99 in all good retailers and Amazon.

Disclosure: We have received a sample DVD to do this honest review. Images used with permission.
