Darth Vader Review

5 December 2012 by Eileen

I am reviewing a Star Wars Darth Vader kindly provided by Jokers’ Masquerade fancy dress through Direct2Mum website. Jokers’ Masquerade has one of the largest collections of fancy dress costumes and Halloween costumes in the UK today and has been in business and selling on the Internet since 2001. They have a 40,000 sq ft warehouse complex and orders placed before 4.00pm are shipped on the day of receipt (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) complete with order and parcel tracking.

Darth Vader Review

Star Wars Darth Vader Economy Adult Costume includes:

  • PVC face mask
  • Printed chest piece (Fits up to 44 Jacket Size)
  • Cape

You will need a black pair of trousers and black shirt to complete the effect.  Lightsaber sold separately. It is suitable from aged 15 and above.

PVC Facemask – The mask is a half-head mask and lightweight. At the back there is velcro to hold the mask. I like the sponge around the eye which makes it comfortable to wear. There are no sharp or uneven edges around the edge of the mask.

Printed Chest Piece – The chest piece is made cover from thin foam. There are two strings to tie around the neck and at the back of the waist. The waist’s string is made from a thin piece of cloth that ties around the back.

Darth Vader front

Cape – It is about 150 cm long and is made from a thin black cloth. It is easy to wear but the material is too thin. Around the edge of the cape, there is no lockstitch and it made the cape easy to tear.

Darth Vader back

I rate this 4 stars out of 5. The Star Wars Darth Vader retails at around £29.49 (at the time of writing) which we think is good value for money. It is very easy to wear and comfortable but you have to be careful as the material is quite thin. I would recommend Jokers’ Masquerade fancy dresses as they have a huge amount of costumes to choose from and for their fast delivery service.
