Two Metre Rope Ladder Review

19 November 2012 by Eileen

Today, I am reviewing a 2 metre rope ladder kindly given by Big Game Hunters.  Big Game Hunters sell so many different kinds of play equipment and games – they really have become obsessed with finding the best and most enjoyable ways for you and your family to play.

Two Metre Rope Ladder Review

Information about the Rope Ladder:

This product is suitable for individuals weighing up to 70kg and use for aged 3 years and above. The hardwood rungs are about 40 cm long and 3.5 cm thick. The surface is smooth.  The distance between each rung is 35 cm. There are 5 rungs. My multi-play outdoor metal frame is 332 cm (width) x 184 cm (height) x 162 cm (depth) which I used for the rope ladder. It was very easy to put up, as it attaches to your existing u-shaped clasps. The rope is about 1 cm thick and the ends are fixed securely, looping around the galvanised steel rings. The rope ladder is good quality, durable and feels assured.

I had ran my hands through each rung to check for any wood splinters. It felt very smooth and it is very safe even bare feet. My son really enjoys using the rope ladder and performing his Spider-man climbing skills.  It was a great way of letting the children learn physical skills while having fun. The downside is that you are not able to adjust the overall length as it is fixed. This is a minor issue for us as the overall length of the rope ladder is 2 metres long and the frame we have is only 1.84m high. A possible solution to this is to dig a hole, secure it in place with cement. I rate this rope ladder 5 stars out of 5. It is good value and very well constructed.  The rope ladder is a fun addition to any climbing frame.
