On 30th October 2012, it was announced that the The Walt Disney Company would acquire Lucasfilm. We were over the moon. We love to watch all Disney films and we are also a fan of Star Wars. With these two combined, I have high expectations they will produce the greatest Disney film ever!
When I was young, Disney films were the only movies I watched repeatedly. I loved watching fairy tales and the happily-ever-after stories. It was every girls’ dream to marry a Prince Charming!
If you ask me which are my favourites, there are quite a few I’d have to mention. I like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Snow White and Lady and the Tramp. If you ask me to choose one favourite, it would have to be The Little Mermaid. It’s a story about a young mermaid named Ariel who is willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a mermaid to gain a human soul and the love of a human Prince Eric. Each of the songs are beautifully written and catchy.
My 3.5 year old daughter is also a huge Disney fan. We enjoy watching a Disney film now and then (in moderation!). Since she was first introduced to Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, she was hooked. She loves to dress up as Belle and other Disney characters. This made us think that she is ready to go to Disneyland® Paris which we are looking forward to.
Our excitement generated momentum and we have started to make plans to go to Disneyland® Paris next year. At the moment, we are collecting newspaper vouchers to get cheap entrance tickets to Disneyland® Paris. This does not included hotels. Let’s see what the future hold.
