For a fabulous twist on a traditional favourite, check out the new Maltesers malty chocolate drink. We are a big fan of Maltesers so when they introduced the Maltesers malty chocolate drink, I jumped at the chance to review it.
With the light, bubbly taste associated with Maltesers, and a unique frothy top, this delicious malty drink can be made by adding hot milk or water, depending on your taste. It is packed in a bright red resealable eco pack. The zip-lock opening is easy to use and saves me time and mess to transfer into jar or bottle.
Maltesers malty is perfect for warming up winter days and nights. Mr K will have a cup each day to start his day. He loves it. As he is only young, we reduced the recommended portion to for his small mug. They recommend using 4 heaped teaspoons per mug, then pouring hot water or hot milk over the hot chocolate powder and stir well. We added hot milk as Mr K prefers a creamy taste. It smells lightly chocolatey as I stirred, and the powder dissolved easily. There was just a little bit of froth on top that makes it look more appealing. The taste is sweet and mildly chocolatey. Mr K is giving this a thumbs up!
It is a shame that it seems to be only available in Morrisons. Now I will have to shop at Morrisons to get this Maltesers hot drink for my family! At the time of writing, it is very affordable at the RSP of £2.29.
Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Eileen Teo says
Sugar, Dried Barley Malt Extract (25%), Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder (10%), Whey Permeate (from Milk), Dried Glucose Syrup, Coconut Oil, Skimmed Milk Powder, Salt, Anti-Caking Agent (E551), Stabilisers (Guar Gum, E340ii, E339ii, E466, E452i), Milk Proteins, Emulsifiers (E471), Flavourings
Yes, it does have many E, but surely the food regulation won’t allow it if it harmful to human.
Of course, my kids don’t drink this daily but as a treat. I’m sure that most drinks are not as good as water. Let go back to basic!
