5 Father’s Day Homemade Gift Ideas

21 May 2015 by Eileen

In my early days in Singapore, we hardly ever celebrated Father’s Day as my dad was always working until late and it was not as highly marketed by shops, or promoted by schools. Ever since I started to work, I realised that what my father did to provide for our family of five plus his own mother was a very hard life. I had never had the chance to show my appreciation to him at all as he has already passed away.

Now I am glad to have this opportunity to make something together with my children to show our appreciation to my husband. Baker Ross has just launched a new range of Father’s Day craft ideas. I have received the Toolbox Photo Frame kit, Father’s Day Bookmark kit, Car Wooden Desk Tidy kit, Father’s Day Car Card and Father’s Day Foam Stickers.  These are our 5 homemade gift ideas!

5 Father's Day Homemade Gift Ideas

As always, the kits are made with good quality materials. Each kit is well packed with detailed instructions which are easy to follow. They are well priced and offer good value.

My son has made this lovely Toolbox photo frame. Then I printed our family photo and stuck it on the back of the frame. It also comes with a stand! So it is now sitting nicely on the window sill.

Next, we had the bookmark, the kit comes  with all the stickers and ribbon. The children found it easy to make and has been very useful too.

The Car Wooden Desk Tidy kit is awesome! It is so useful for putting phones, stationery and all sorts in it. We chose to colour it with felt pens rather than to paint it. After the children had coloured it in, I piece it together. Some edges are not smooth, so it is best to let an adult fix it together. Once it is fixed, it is very sturdy on the table.

Lastly, my son chose to colour in the Father’s Day car card while my daughter made my husband a Happy Father’s Day poster! She was so pleased with it!

Do take a look at Baker Ross Father’s Day range for more craft ideas! I would highly recommend them.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
