Vertbaudet Casting for Ms C

1 July 2012 by Eileen

Today, I had a busy day. After attending Mr K’s parent-only school meeting, I had to rush back to pick Mr K and Ms C up for a casting for Vertbaudet at Alan Sharman’s agency.

2nd Day of Photo Shooting

When arrived at 4 pm and there are massive queue for the casting.  Lots of nervous parents, playful children and their siblings around. It was surprising that most children had both parents coming along with them to the casting. Don’t their parents need to work? As for me, I had Mr K come along for moral support! I also saw a parent bring five children to the agency!  How did she manage that?

During this time, Ms C told me she was scared and she wanted to go home.  I had to calm her down and play with her. Soon though, she became more comfortable and started to play with Mr K.

Finally, after waiting for an hour and a half, it was our turn. Walking up steep steps with two children and weaving past four bored children sitting on the steps, was so difficult. Why can’t they sit in the waiting room!

There we met the casting director and assistant. Firstly, the assistant tried to sort out Ms C’s shoe size. Easy pease. Next they asked her to perform touching her head, arms, knees and toe to make sure she understand commands. Then followed recorded some video of her answering simple questions like what is your name and her age. I think she did badly! As she only knows ya, ya, ya and not much else. I had to give her a few prompts! Reminding her that her favourite animal is an elephant and she is 3 years old. Phew! She managed to repeat what I said to her.

Finally, she was asked to take a couple of photos and she managed to put a smile on her face! Brilliant!  Now we have to wait for news.

Will we get it? I will keep you posted!
