A big congrats to National Forest Adventure Farm in Burton upon Trent! They have broke the world record for the largest display of scarecrows as number 3,312 joined the impressive line-up. The world record-breaking scarecrow is a 12ft-tall giant creation called Big Ernie.
Interesting facts:
- If you lined up all the scarecrows side by side with the tips of their hands touching it would spread 3 miles, from the Adventure Farm to the centre of Burton upon Trent.
- The world record line-up has used 5.5 miles of wooden frames.
- It’s used 8.5 tonnes of straw.
- 3,312 sacks for the heads, 3,312 tops and 3,312 pairs of trousers.
Earlier this month, we had went there and made the scarecrows! Both children really enjoyed stuffing the hay into the scarecrow and drawing her a pretty smiley face! We are scarecrow number 1312! Read more about it here!
