Bebird AuriCare Note5 Pro is a high-end robotic arms tweezer otoscope that puts users in control! This product is a game-changer. It not only allows you to examine the ear canal, it also has multiple other uses. You can use it to view your nose and throat via the 10-megapixel camera. You can even invite your family or friends to view it along with you or share your findings with your health professional. It makes life so much easier!
Inside this kit, it comes with an otoscope, observation hood, twelve different-shaped silicone ear tips, standing base, five disposable soft swabs, a type-C USB charger and instructions. The silicone ear tips (spatula, dome and sponge) are soft to the touch and not rigid, except the sponge tips. They feel secure and shouldn’t come off easily from the head of the tweezers. The spare tips are kept neatly inside the standing base. Simply twist off the top of the standing base and it will reveal the tips.
The otoscope has a built-in 230mAh rechargeable battery, which takes approximately 60 minutes to charge. It can be used for 90 minutes after fully charging according to the manufacturer. On the app, it will tell you the battery life percentage. The charging port is located at the bottom of the otoscope. When charging, the indicator light will turn constantly red. When the charging is complete, the red light will turn off.
To turn on the otoscope, simply remove the magnetic lid and the indicator light will flash green and be ready to connect to the app. Once it is connected, the indicator light will turn solid green. To turn it off, simply place the lid back.
Before you use the otoscope, you will need to download the free app called Bebird via the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). You can find the QR code for the app inside the instructions. To connect, you will need to open your Wi-Fi settings on your phone to connect to the otoscope. Make sure you have already turned on your otoscope by removing the cap. It will be solid green once it is connected to the app. In my video, you can see how easy it is to get connected.
Even though this otoscope is lightweight, it is very well made. The quality of this otoscope is top-notch. It looks so sleek and stylish. The lens’ diameter is about 3.2mm. The dustproof and fogproof lens can be cleaned with cotton buds or wiped with an alcohol wipe after use. It is lit by an LED light.
According to the manufacturer, it is suitable for all ages and can even be used on pets. I have used it on myself, my husband and two teenagers and have no problem with the size of the scope at all. I have not tried it on babies or younger children.
The image of the ear spoon will fill up around 1/3 of the screen. It still provides a very good visual image for you to see around the area. If you just want to look around, you can replace the ear tip cover with the observation hood to check your nose or mouth if needed.
On the app, you have to click either right or left ear, in order for the camera to change to the correct direction for viewing. It’s nice that you can lock or unlock the orientation of the screen too. If you’d like to, it also allows you to take still photos or videos with sounds, which you can obviously share afterwards with your family doctor or other health professionals.
There is also a sharing mode on the app where you can share your real-time video connections with family or friends by sharing the video with them. For this, they have to have the app and both devices must be on the same WiFi too. I like this feature, especially when you have someone to help you clean your ear, they can look at their smart device screen and you can also view it via your own smart device screen. No more fighting over who gets to see the screen. It is also helpful when you have nosy children who want to look.
There is another feature called Ear Canal Assessment which is currently in a Beta version. This allows you to upload photos of your ear canal and have experts interpret them online. This feature is great for someone who can not travel and is convenient for medical rechecks.
I really enjoy using the tweezers, especially as you can operate the opening and closing anywhere on the soft touch silicon via the 360° switch. I can use it to remove any dirt or foreign bodies from the area. The robotic arms are very fine, well-made and very responsive. In my video, you can see that I changed the silicone tips to arms, to remove the dirt from the ear canal.
The image is so clear and you can video it with sounds and take images for sharing. It is compact and easy to use too. It’s nice to have someone help me clean my ear while I look at the image. The first few times I used it, it was quite tricky trying to orientate myself. I love using it and would recommend it. This is a great piece of kit for all and is available to buy from Amazon. They have kindly offered my readers a 15% discount off N6DTVNQ4, don’t forget to put the discount code before you checkout!
