This Summer at Birmingham Airport, a fun and exciting children’s adventure has launched to give the thousands of youngsters a fun and engaging experience before they fly, and peace for the parents! We were fortunate to get a chance to experience it without having to fly!
The Sky Side experience is free to join and will start from the moment the child arrives at check-in and ends when they arrive at a themed Sky Zone. Each child will get a booklet to complete the simple and fun mission. Look out for Zoom!
At the Sky Zone, the area is furnished with modern interactive games and activities, including touch screen tables, interactive floor projection, a gazing station, music light beams and story-telling pods. It is suitable for all ages! Also there will be a member of staff on hand to help you out. They are all student teachers who are passionate about working with children.
Sky Side will run throughout the summer months from 5 am to 3 pm. I really wish they could run this forever! We often travel overseas and one missing facility is a place for children! They need their playtime to tire them out before they fly. For example, at Singapore airport, there is a permanent playground at the departure lounge for the children.
My children spent over an hour doing their mission and in the Sky Zone. If you have experience this, why not feedback to them and tell them about your experience? If you are travelling to Birmingham Airport, don’t forget to check out Sky Passes Facebook page for more information about the Sky Side scheme.
Disclosure: We were invited to experience Sky Side for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
