To celebrate the release of Goosebumps 2 on Blu-ray & DVD that is out today, yesterday we had a fun watch-along Twitter party along with a few fellow bloggers. Not only that, we were set up by Sony Pictures to do three challenges to win some awesome prizes! Did you manage to join in with us? We face painted Mr K and the evil gummy bears have been plotting to take over the Minecraft island!
We are a big fan of the Goosebumps stories and we watched the first movie at the cinema but was not able to watch this. Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long for it to come out now on Blu-ray & DVD.
This is the sequel to the 2015 Goosebumps. It is based on the children’s horror book series of the same name by R. L. Stine and stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Madison Iseman, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Caleel Harris, Chris Parnell and Ken Jeong, with Jack Black reprising his role as Stine from the first film.
Best friends Sonny and Sam set up a junk business hoping to find treasure in other people’s trash. But when cleaning out the old Stine house, they open a locked book that frees a supernatural nightmare – Slappy! Now, with the help of Sonny’s sister Sarah, they are in a race against time to get the sinister dummy and all the creatures he had brought to life back into the pages before he unleashes total pandemonium.
This movie is great to watch together with young children as it is not too scary. It is definitely a family show for everyone. We love all the special effects, especially the gummy bears and the flying witches.
In this blu-ray, it also features a gag reel, deleted scenes, Slappy’s audition tape, meet the monsters, the making of Goosebumps 2 and more.
Thanks to Sony Pictures and Scholastic for these fantastic goodies to enjoy! Goosebumps 2 is available on Blu-ray & DVD to buy on Amazon or in other good stores now.
