My Little Pony is one of Ms C’s favourite shows and she can’t get enough of them! Now she can immerse herself with this Light Up Twilight Sparkle Style and Groom by HTI. This Style and Groom Twilight Sparkle has a really neat trick up its sleeve. It is a hair styling toy but press the button and it lights up to work as a night light! Ms C loves this feature.
We are no strangers to this sort of Style and Groom hairstyling toy as we have previously owned the Rainbow Dash Style and Groom, which does not light up, but the toy itself is very similar to this current one we have. Now with this new light up feature, children can enjoy seeing it illuminated with a continuous or a pulsating glow. It requires three AAA batteries, which are included in the set. There is also a demo/on switch on the bottom of the toy.
This Style and Groom stands 28 cm tall and sits on a sturdy base of Twilight Sparkle’s cloud with two shallow containers. The set comes with a selection of sticker and gem sheets, two hair slides, hair bands, hairbrush, clip-on hairpieces, glitter and shaped beads with bead thread. Unfortunately, the containers are too small and shallow to keep all the accessories in place. So I have placed most of the accessories into a ziplock bag for safe keeping.
There are many ways to style this beautiful Twilight Sparkle’s long mane of hair and decorate with the accessories. Ms C enjoys combing, plaiting, beading and tying up Twilight Sparkle’s hair. Many parents with girls will know that doll hair can be difficult to comb once it gets tangled/frizzy. A simple solution is to spray hair conditioner on it to keep it smooth to comb and style.
Ms C is not very keen on sticking stickers onto Twilight Sparkle, but of course, you can style her as you see fit. Ms C had a strange request, which was to remove Twilight Sparkle from the tray so that she can play freely along with her other My Little Pony toys. It is quite easy to do by removing the screws on the bottom to reveal a playable toy. This is a fun toy and good value for money! It is available to buy from good toy retailers, online and on Amazon.
