Safe Breaker Game Review

10 August 2017 by Eileen

Safe Breaker is a fun electronic game that challenges your spy skills, memory and luck in order to crack the code and collect golden coins. The goal of this game is to be the first player to collect five gold coins. It is suitable for aged six and above, and for two to four players.

Inside the box, it comes with one spy code vault, one spy stethoscope, 15 golden coins, coin stickers, 18 game cards and instructions. It requires three AA batteries which are not included in the set. To set up the game is fairly straightforward. Before you start the game, place the three Diamond stickers and one Alarm sticker on four of your gold coins.

Place all 15 coins in the back slot of the vault. Then attach your stethoscope, turn on the vault switch to play. Shuffle the 18 cards and place them next to the vault. The youngest spy starts the game by picking the top card. Turn the vault’s dial to the same number as your card.

Put the stethoscope to your ear and press the fingerprint scanner. If the light is green, the safe will release 1, 2 or 3 coins. If the light is red, listen using the stethoscope to hear a top-secret clue. If you hear a high-pitched sound, the code is higher than the number you have selected. If you hear a low-pitched sound, the number is lower. If either of these happen, note the results and move to the next player. If you hear an alarm bell, the cops are coming and your turn is over without any additional clues.

If your selected number card is correct, you will hear the ch-ching of money and the vault will open. Now take your coins and then start a new round. The first player to collect 5 gold coins, or 2 diamond coins, wins the game. If you receive an Alarm Bell coin, you must put all your coins back into the vault’s slot!

Both of my children have been enjoying playing Safe Breaker during this summer holiday. The game is very unique and well made. Safe Breaker is quite a simple and quick challenging game to play, especially for younger children in terms of visually and arithmetically since they have to pick the number cards to figure out which numbers are higher or lower. It is available to buy in good toy retailers and Amazon.
