Designing Your Child’s Bedroom

27 April 2017 by Eileen

Decorating and designing your child’s bedroom can be tricky. For one thing, they could easily turn around not long after it is done and have completely different interests. How do you get around this and how exactly can you decorate their room in the first places. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Designing Your Child’s Bedroom

Wall Prints

Wall prints are the easiest and most convenient way to decorate a kids bedroom. You can buy them in all kinds of shapes and sizes, plus they have basically any design. Whether they love Star Wars or Minecraft you can get a wall print for it. It is so much easier and cheaper than wallpaper and if they ever outgrow this particular interest then the wall print can be removed or replaced without too much hassle. Wall prints really are a win-win for everyone since the kids get what they want and adults don’t have to worry about it costing too much.

New Bed

When getting a new bed it is worth thinking slightly long term. You don’t want to buy a bed that your child will outgrow or not like in a year. So that generally means no car beds or anything of that ilk. Something stylish that they can perhaps decorate with stickers of their choosing. Bunk beds are with the bottom half having a sitting area or desk are generally a good idea because they will make use of that. Don’t forget to consider that children grow, quickly, so don’t pick a bed that their feet are already touching the end of. If you do decide to get a new bed then places like Bedstar provide cheap bed frames with next day delivery so they won’t be without a bed.

Painting

Stencilling a design on the wall and then working with your child to paint it is not only a great project but will also make them care about it in the long term. It would be best if this design isn’t something they are likely to grow tired of quickly, so something like Spiderman or Barbie aren’t the best choices. Instead, you want to pick something more general like the jungle or under the sea. This way even as they grow up they can appreciate the design and because they helped to create it, feel proud of their accomplishment.
