This blaster is very unique from the rest of the Nerf blasters. It is designed with fun details that reflect the zombie strike survivors who are creating weapons with parts they scrounge from different places. Children can now experience the real crossbow action when they pull the string back with the handle.
This requires minimum assembly. Simply click in the crossbow onto the front of the blaster and slot in the string and you are ready to use it. The crossbow and string are purely aesthetics, but it makes it look an impressive blaster. The crossbow is not easily removed for storage so does take up a lot of room when stored.
It has a drum that holds up to five darts and rotates with every trigger pull ready with the next dart for firing. To fire, you will need to pull back the scissor handle. I love the scissor handle design which makes it easy for children to pull back. Then press the trigger to fire.
The blaster is a good size and lightweight. My 9 year old son is able to hold it comfortably, aim and shoot. We were very impressed with the speed and ease to shoot at any target. It fires the darts so smoothly and quickly. What a great blaster! As it shoots so quickly, it also means it runs out of darts very quickly especially as there are only five slots in the drum! In just a few seconds all the darts were fired and we have to reload again.
Overall this blaster is very well made, good value for money and will be loved by children! We love the design and ease of fire. I would definitely recommend this and would suggest getting more darts to be able to reload more quickly. This is available to buy in Toys R Us, Argos, good toy stores and Amazon.
