When it comes to laundry, fragrance is something I don’t usually think about too much. As long as the clothes come out clean and fresh, I’m happy. But what if you could make your laundry smell as good as your favourite fragrance?
That is exactly what Element For Men is all about.
Element For Men is a laundry brand created specifically with men in mind. Founded by Adrian, the brand came from his own struggle to find laundry detergent scents that suited his taste. Rather than settling for the usual floral or generic “fresh laundry” fragrances, he decided to create his own.
The result is a range of scent-led laundry products inspired by modern men’s fragrances, combining clean formulas with thoughtful packaging and distinctive scents.

There are currently three fragrances to choose from: Wild Spice, Night Fold and Ocean Air.
I was lucky enough to try all three, and the timing couldn’t have been better. With Mr K preparing to leave the nest and head off to university, these are the sort of laundry products I can imagine him taking with him. He loves his aftershave and Eau de Parfum (EDP), so having his clothes smelling like a more masculine fragrance is right up his street!
And let’s be honest, when he is living in student accommodation, having laundry that smells different from everyone else’s could be quite useful. No more wondering whose clothes are whose!
Element For Men Detergent Sheets
One of the things that immediately caught my attention is the detergent sheets. Instead of a bulky bottle of liquid detergent or a box of powder, you get lightweight, pre-measured sheets containing highly concentrated detergent.
The sheets are made using natural, biodegradable ingredients and are described as being free from harmful chemicals. They are also hypoallergenic, not tested on animals and contain no animal by-products.
The detergent comes in a neat, rectangular box with a convenient slide-out drawer. Inside are 30 large sheets measuring 110mm x 140mm.
Each large sheet can be torn into two smaller sheets, giving you up to 60 washes depending on the amount of laundry you are doing.

The recommended amount is:
- 1–3kg of laundry: Half a small sheet
- 6–7kg of laundry: One small sheet
- 7–9kg of laundry: One large sheet
I really like the simplicity of this. There is no need to measure out liquid detergent or worry about spilling it everywhere. Just tear off the amount you need and pop it into the wash.
The sheets can be used for both hand washing and machine washing, and are suitable for coloured and white laundry. It goes into the empty drum, not the drawer. They dissolve quickly in both hot and cold water from 30°C, so there is no detergent sheet left floating around afterwards.
Perfect For Travelling
For me, one of the biggest advantages is how easy these sheets are to take on holiday.
If you’ve ever packed for a family holiday, you’ll know that laundry detergent isn’t exactly the most convenient thing to squeeze into your luggage. Bottles are heavy, take up space and can potentially leak.
These detergent sheets are lightweight, flat and mess-free, making them so much easier to pack. For Mr K going to university, I can also see them being really handy when he needs to take laundry supplies between home and university.
No bulky bottle. No liquid to spill. Just tear off a sheet and you’re ready to go.
Element For Men Laundry Softener
Alongside the detergent sheets, I also tried the Element For Men Laundry Softener.
It comes in a soft-touch 1-litre bottle, which provides approximately 30 washes. The softener is designed to help reduce creases, keep fabrics feeling good and prolong the life of your clothes, while leaving behind a fresh, distinctive fragrance.

The formula is described as eco-friendly, biodegradable and non-toxic.
For each wash, you simply add one cup of the softener and wash your clothes on a cold or warm setting. The softener goes in the compartment, never the drum — detergent neutralises it if the two meet.
Of course, the fragrance is what makes these products stand out for me. Each one has its own character, so here is how I found them.
Wild Spice – Refined Fragrance
Wild Spice comes in striking red packaging and is probably my favourite of the three.
It has a vibrant combination of bergamot and pepper, followed by a warmer, woody scent. Once the clothes have been washed, there is a lovely sweet, warm fragrance left behind.
It has just the right amount of character without being too overpowering.
I really like this one and can definitely see why it is one of my favourites.

Night Fold – Refined Fragrance
Next is Night Fold, which comes in dark blue packaging.
This fragrance combines fresh pineapple and blackcurrant, layered with smoky birch and oakmoss.
At first, you might think a fragrance containing pineapple and blackcurrant would smell quite fruity, but I found the woody and smoky notes gave it a much more masculine character.
There is also a subtle marine undertone, which reminds me of the fresh atmosphere of a forest after rain.
It has a deeper, more mysterious scent compared with Wild Spice, and I think the name Night Fold suits it really well.
Another one that I really enjoyed!

Ocean Air – Refined Fragrance
Finally, there is Ocean Air, which comes in light blue packaging.
This one combines citrus and cool marine notes, balanced with cedarwood and amber.
Compared with the other two, I found Ocean Air to be slightly milder. It has that lovely clean and fresh feeling, almost like freshly washed clothes with a subtle coastal scent.
If you prefer something a little less intense but still want your laundry to smell fresh and masculine, this could be the one for you.

What do I think?
I genuinely enjoyed trying all three fragrances.
What I particularly like is that the scents aren’t simply trying to make your laundry smell like traditional fabric softener. They have been created with men’s fragrances in mind, so they have more character and depth.
The fragrance left on the laundry is noticeable but not overpowering, which I personally prefer.
There is just a lovely hint of scent when you pick up a freshly washed top or get into bed with freshly laundered bedding.
For me, Wild Spice and Night Fold are my favourite, Mr K too.
Another big plus is the packaging. The detergent sheets don’t require a large plastic bottle or a bulky plastic container. The cardboard box is fully recyclable, and there is no plastic film covering each individual sheet.
This makes them particularly appealing if you’re trying to reduce the amount of packaging and unnecessary waste in your laundry routine.
Final thoughts
Element For Men is a little different from the usual laundry products you see on the supermarket shelves. Instead of focusing solely on getting your clothes clean, the brand puts fragrance at the heart of the experience.
I love the idea of having laundry products inspired by men’s fragrances, especially for someone like Mr K who already enjoys wearing aftershave and Eau de Parfum.
The detergent sheets are also incredibly convenient. They are lightweight, easy to use, mess-free and perfect for travelling. I can see them being particularly useful for students, anyone living in a smaller home, or simply people who don’t want to store bulky bottles of detergent.
And with three different fragrances to choose from, you can pick the one that suits your personal taste.
