5 things You Couldn’t Live Without

16 March 2015 by Eileen

Recently, British Gas created a video asking the general public the five things they couldn’t live without, before addressing how much they think their energy costs are. This prompted me to think what my five things I couldn’t live without are.

Born and brought up in Singapore, when I first moved to UK, I almost couldn’t cope with just burgers or even kebab every day! I was sick of eating buns and sandwiches. So the first thing that I couldn’t live without is spicy noodle soup. I miss my clear broth soup and chewy noodles. It it one of my favourite dishes which I ate almost every day in Singapore! They can be eaten at breakfast, lunch, dinner or even supper at times.

My second thing has to be my family. Without them, I am nothing. Every day, they bring me so much joy tempered with plenty of nonsense of course. But they are my purpose in life.

My third thing is my bolster cushion. This is my long comfy cushion that I have to use every night to sleep. I would rather hug this than my husband! These types of bolster cushions can only be found in Asian countries so I brought mine over from Singapore!

Fourth thing is my iPad. This is my portal to the outside world. It is where I get the latest news of my family in Singapore, read the world news and much much more. It comes with me everywhere!

Finally, it has to be Korean drama. As I mentioned before, I can’t live without my iPad and it also allows me to watch Korean drama for free. So I can catch up all the latest and old dramas. There are so many great dramas to watch! Let me know if you would like me to recommend one and I can draw up a list!

So before you watch the “What five things couldn’t you live without?” video to find out what the average daily household bill is, why not make a guess at how much your energy costs per day and find the result at the end of the video. Are you surprised by the result? I certainly was. To find out more, go to British Gas’ information hub The Source to check it out.

Loving your choices! I am with you on the cushion – I love using mine when pregnant, definitely nicer to cuddle than the OH! I really should try and keep it out once the baby arrives 😀
