During winter, the sun rises quite late and sets very early, around the time your child’s school finishes. As a driver, we all know sometimes it can be quite hard to spot pedestrians from a distance, especially if they are wearing black or a dark colour, which is typical of many schools.
As a parent, it is natural that we are overprotective of our children and yet we encourage our children to be independent. This was the reason why Futliit was launched by Laura in 2022 when her eldest daughter started secondary school.
This LED backpack is suitable for primary/secondary school children, commuters or anyone who needs to be seen at night. It measures approximately 40 cm (H) x 30cm (W) x 16cm (D), roughly 28 litres. It features two strands of LED lights plus three substantial reflective panels, a front pocket, a main compartment and two side pockets.
The two strands of LED lights operate independently by two different control panels, which you can find at the base of the straps, in a small triangle pocket. Each battery-operated control panel fastens neatly by Velcro to protect the electrical parts from the weather. I am glad that you can replace the batteries by prising the plastic front off to change the 2-cell batteries for each switch (CR2032).
The left side control panel is for the front pocket LED and the right side is for the main compartment LED. It comes with three different light modes for both strands of LED lights. Simply press once for rapid flashing, twice for slow flashing, three times for static lights and four times to turn off.
It is made from water-repellent, durable nylon, which is great for the wet season to help keep books dry and is easy to wipe clean. The materials feel incredibly robust and very well made. The stitching and details on this backpack are superb. The straps are well padded with plenty of scope to adjust the length. It also comes with a handle on the top of the bag. It is very nicely finished overall.
I love the front pocket as the lid opens very widely and it comes with several compartments to store different items, like pens, paper, tissues and many more. Furthermore, it has a key holder strap clip which makes so easy to locate the key.
The main compartment is very spacious, which is great for carrying school books and A4-size folders. It also comes with an internal padded laptop/device sleeve to protect your device. Both the front pocket and main compartment come with rubber tags, which makes it easy to pull the zips open. Lastly, it comes with side pockets with an elasticated top to prevent the bottles from dropping.
At the moment, the grey colour backpack retails at £79.99, and you can get a 35% discount by using this code NEWYEAR35, and this code FREESHIP for free standard delivery! It is a good price, especially as it will give parents peace of mind that their children can be easily seen. The backpack is very well made, easy to clean and should last for a long time. I would recommend it.
