Next week we are celebrating the 5th year of National Feet Week which takes place from 17th to 23rd April. This is to encourage people of all ages to prioritise foot health and get any issues checked. Choosing to ignore common foot complaints can ultimately lead to serious problems and can affect overall health and well-being.
Do you remember when was the last time you took care of your feet or saw your podiatrist? Last summer or this morning? Remember this, podiatrists are here to help with all manner of foot conditions and will give your feet a new lease of life. If you are experiencing fungal nail infections, corns, heel pain and hard skin or any other symptoms relating to feet, they are the best people to help.
As part of this National Feet Week, we were gifted these fantastic goodies to pamper our feet! They are CCS Foot Care Cream, Footner Exfoliating Socks, Flexitol Foot Scrub, Mavala Refreshing Foot Gel, Mavala Smoothing Scrub Cream for Feet, Mavala Concentrated Foot Bath and Nailner nail polish.
CCS Foot Care Cream contains 10% urea, the moisturiser found naturally in the body. The product softens hard, dry skin to help keep it soft and supple. It is effective in controlling dry and rough skin. It is lanolin free and dermatologically tested. It is suitable for diabetics. For best results, use it at night and cover your feet with socks.
Footner Exfoliating Socks promotes a natural process of peeling by using Alpha Hydroxy Acids which help to loosen the dead skin. Its moisturisers leave the skin softer and smoother after every use. I have been using this for years and each time, it leaves my feet so clean and moist. Do note that your skin will start peeling off and it can be quite messy. Not to worry! Once it is gone (5 to 10 days), your feet will look great.
Flexitol Foot Scrub with grapefruit fragrance is suitable for diabetics. It is to be used before you shower. Apply enough scrub and massage gently using circular movements, especially on any rough areas of skin. Then rinse off with warm water. It is recommended to be used once or twice a week.
Mavala Refreshing Foot Gel is used for massaging the feet. It will help to restore vitality and leaves feet feeling fresh.
Mavala Smoothing Scrub Cream for Feet contains a natural exfoliating powder to gently eliminate callouses and provides softness and suppleness to the skin.
Add a few drops of Mavala Concentrated Foot Bath to a basin of warm water and soak feet for 10 to 15 minutes. Then dry thoroughly and continue the pedicure. This foot bath contains eucalyptus and lemon essential oils and has the advantage of being deodorizing and tonifying. It also has an emollient action which softens and smooths callouses, making them easy to remove and is therefore an ideal preparation for the pedicure.
This Nailner breathable nail polish in rosy red is designed for damaged or discoloured dry nails. The nail polish allows molecules of oxygen to pass through the polish and down to the nail, which helps protect your nail and nail bed.
Palmer’s Foot Magic cocoa butter enriched with Vitamin E and other natural emollients provides a deep penetrating treatment for the feet. The addition of soothing Peppermint Oil revitalizes sore, tired feet. Palmer’s Foot Magic Scrub revitalises while exfoliating tough skin on feet.
Do you know how to choose insoles for sports? A wet foot test will give you an idea of what foot type you have. Stand on a piece of paper with wet feet and examine your footprint. Are you a high, neutral, or low arch type? I have flat feet, and this UP medical advanced insoles with F3D will help support my feet from over pronating. This comes with anti-shock stability and support for runners or walkers, and those who need extra support. It dissipates up to 95% of high frequency shockwaves generated from hard surfaces like roads, pavements and hard trails.
The UP Blister Plasters comes with three medium plasters and two small plasters.
1000 Mile Activ Socklet is a soft, breathable and comfortable sock to keep feet protected and supported during running.
