Leaf Shape Dog Mat Review

21 February 2022 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Our pets are like any other part of our family and often people will call them our fur babies. Undoubtedly, we aim to treat them as well as human babies to keep them happy and healthy. If they are happy, we are happy too.

Now when comes to sleeping, did you know that average adult dogs will sleep between 12 and 14 hours a day? Some larger breeds and puppies can even sleep up to 18 hours a day. Shocking!

While this may seem like they spend a lot of time sleeping, it is actually quite normal for our beloved dogs. They are simply recharging their energy for playing, socialising and exploring, ready for when you are back home or taking them for a walk. They are always on high alert and ready to pounce on any stranger or postman and even cats. They will relax whenever they can, to help organise themselves. Like humans, if they have too little sleep, this will make them irritable and unhappy. Since they are spending so much time relaxing and recharging, why not invest in something that is comfortable, looks fun and is useful for them?

Funny Fuzzy Leaf Shape Dog Mat Review

I am pleased to have received this beautiful big leafy shape yellow dog mat for Mabel from Funny Fuzzy UK. It took around 4 days to arrive and it was packaged in a well-packed bag. The moment I opened the mat and laid it on the carpet, Mabel immediately liked the look of it and put her stamp on it! She just knew that this dog mat is hers. She even spent time nesting on it, having a good chew and resting on it. She really knows how to enjoy life! It is a perfect size for her.

First, let me tell you more about this awesome leaf shape dog mat. This is a very big dog mat/blanket! Mabel is a Labrador crossed with Retriever but she is not the biggest of her breed. Judging from our photo, there is plenty of room for another dog to use too. It is also great for me too! It is big enough to keep my legs warm and toasty.

The mat measures approximately 127 cm by 115 cm (plus/minus 1 – 2 cm). This dog mat range also comes in another three different colours in three different leafy shapes. Besides yellow, the other colours are grey, pink and green. I have chosen the yellow one as I love the vibrant colour and the size is plenty big enough for Mabel. The yellow colour mat just blends seamlessly into our home décor, especially matching my yellow cushions and yellow (human) blanket.

This dog mat is machine washable and made from 100% cotton. It is very soft to touch and they are neither too thick nor too thin. It is just perfect for all weather and dual usages as floor mat or blanket for our baby. I love the shape of this mat. On the top of the leaf, there are two flaps, which I use to place one flap on each side of Mabel, leaving her head exposed and her body covered. At the narrow end part of the leaf, it is not well padded as it is more decorative than supporting the dog.

The stitching and detail on this mat are brilliant and they are very nicely finished all around. There is not a loose thread in sight, no lumpiness to the filling and no hard edges at all. This mat is made to a high standard.

On the other side, it is grey in colour. Even though this is the base of the mat, the standard of finish is as excellent as the front. The care tag is written in Chinese characters, but no worries, it just says machine washable under 30℃, no bleach and dry flat. Once washed, it will stay in shape and it takes at least 24 hours to dry flat. So do have a spare mat or blanket for your fur babies while waiting.

Mabel is loving snuggle under this mat and so do I. It is very comfortable and keeps both of us warm. The leaf shape looks so adorable, funky and modern and matches other items and furnishings we have in our home. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. If you like what you have seen here, why not pop over to get it from Funny Fuzzy UK.
