Monster Jam Toy Review

12 May 2019 by Eileen

Now you can recreate your favourite ultimate monster trucks racing and freestyling with this awesome range of Monster Jam toys! Mr K is into his cars and loves watching those big monster trucks doing stunts! He was thrilled when he saw these Monster Jam toys and it is definitely up his street!

Monster Jam have now partnered with Spin Master and they launched a wide range of toys including Monster Jam die-cast vehicles, remote control Grave Digger, Rev n Roar Soldier Fortune and the Monster Dirt Deluxe set.

First, let’s take a look at these double pack die-cast vehicles. We have the Higher Education vs Bounty Hunter along with Soldier Fortune vs Soldier Fortune Black Ops. They are 1:64 scale die-cast monster trucks that feature fun and classic matchups. Each vehicle is well made and comes with official BKT Tires, stylized chrome rims and an authentic chassis with chrome detailing! Each vehicle can take a lot of bashing. It didn’t take long before both of my children were tossing them through the air doing jumps! They both love how the vehicles are able to take the hits!

Next, we have this remote control 1:24 scale Grave Digger which is suitable for aged four and above. It requires five AAA batteries (two batteries for the remote control and three batteries for the Grave Digger) which are not included.

The truck is decorated with stickers on its body and is lightweight with look-alike plastic chassis. This comes with authentic soft rubber BKT tyres which are great for performing epic stunts and brutal bashes on any surfaces. It can go over small steps and runs at a good speed. The on/off button can be found on the base.

The remote control is very simple to use with only two buttons. The left one moves forwards and backwards and the right one turns the front wheels left and right. It is very easy to get to grips with and is therefore great for younger children and not too expensive. There are also larger trucks with more features available for this range. For additional tips and tricks, watch this video!

Next, give your Rev n Roar Soldier Fortune truck a good push forwards or backwards to rev and then watch it go! As it goes, it clicks quite loudly. Definitely not my children’s kind of toys they will suit younger children.

Last but not least, we have the Monster Dirt Deluxe set which comes with Kinetic Sand and accessories to build your very own Monster Jam track! The box includes one silver 1:64 die-cast vehicle with ‘dirty’ wheels, ramp, shove, shipping container, entry gate, fireworks spouts and 454g of ‘dirt’ in a sealed, ramp-shaped box which can be formed into a ramp or any other shape for the monster truck to drive over. The dirt is made from Kinetic sand which is the best kind of sand you can play with as it clumps together and cleans up easily!

Both of my children had fun tossing the Monster Jam around and had a lot of fun! They are such a fun range to play with! Monster Jam is available is good toy retailers, online and Amazon.
