Star Wars Galactic Robe Review

24 May 2018 by Eileen

The wait is finally over! Now you can get comfy on the dark side with the Star Wars Galactic Robe and matching slippers! To celebrate the release of the Solo: A Star Wars Story, Mr C is thrilled to receive these matching robe and slippers! If you prefer to channel your inner Obi Wan-Kenobi, then do check out the Star Wars Jedi Robe which is also available in Argos.

Star Wars Galactic Robe Review

Mr C is a huge fan of Star Wars as are the rest of us in the family. When he saw this dressing gown, he was delighted – he couldn’t wait to unleash the force. He loves that it looks simple, yet stylish.

Any aspiring dark side fan will love this robe. It is well made with fine attention to detail. The material is 100% polyester fleece and very soft. It has two pockets, embroidered logo on the left side, oversized hood and big bell sleeves. It also comes with a sash belt.

Star Wars Galactic Robe

It is 134cm long (not including the hood) that will fit adults size Medium to X Large. Mr C is 5 foot 4 (163cm) and the length of the rode touches on his toes. It is slightly too big and long for him but it will keep him very warm and cosy with the fleece material. This robe is great for lounging in front of the telly and saves money on heating!

We washed the dressing gown at 30° and it retained the original shape with no discernible colour loss. It does take up half the washing load as it is so big. The fleece still feels soft and comfortable to touch. As well as being careful to not get zapped by light sabres, as it is made from fleece, he needs to be careful to not get zapped by static too! We used tumble dry sheet which helped to reduce static.

Star Wars Galactic slippers Review

Next, Mr C is wearing the matching slippers, again, it comes with a beautifully embroidered logo on the top. The slippers are quite spongy and the sole has a non-slip grip. I wouldn’t say that these slippers will last for a long time as the material of the base is mainly soft plush. If it was a plastic base, it might have better longevity. Anyway, these galactic mule slippers look lovely together with the robe!

If you have any Star Wars fans in your household, why not get them this awesome and comfy galactic robe from Argos!

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
